The word Miiriya is a word from the African language of Bambara/Dioula, my native language. The word means “Thoughts” and “Ideas.” It can be used in many ways. In specific cases you can use it with other words to mean “Philosophers” or “Thinkers.”

We are extremely new, and will continue to grow and improve. Please continue to support us!

Miiriya.com gathers people who believe in ideas, change, and come together as creatives and thinkers to make those ideas come true. It’s a place that aims to provide you with whatever comes to mind.

Vendors can sign up using the human icon at the top right on the website, or the human icon at the bottom right when you open the mobile app. There are no transaction fees and no listing fees, I pay the vendors credit card and PayPal fees out of pocket as well so they get 100% of their earnings. I also pay out of pocket to maintain the website’s bills. To help me, please tip when shopping, and/or sign up to our patreon for $1 a month, it really helps me pay for the app’s servers and costs monthly. (There are businesses that continuously fail on other platforms because they can’t afford monthly costs that pile up when their businesses aren’t picking up. So I keep the app free for vendors, and allow them to sign up for the Patreon when they start doing well.)

My goal is to create convenience for shoppers who want to support black businesses seamlessly, while also creating a surge recirculating the black dollar.

My goal for the site in the community is to run this website in a socialistic way, like Wikipedia and PBS. There absolutely no fees for vendors, and all money made from the site will be seeped back into solving different issues in our community. In the future, I plan to have optional donations where the public and vendors can participate, and this website will be used to fund issues we always have to beg to be solved. I plan to put things like community fridges in front of businesses and houses, where people who are hungry in the community can just open them and not have to go without food. I also plan to use any funds to fund the community’s healthcare, education, and more. I want to run this in a different way than other businesses, where the main goal is to make sure no one is left behind. I want to reach a point where If we see someone on the street who is struggling/homeless, we take them off the street, and better their lives. I’d like us to reach a point where we’d fund ourselves so we don’t have to rely and beg outside sources that continuously give us crumbs over the span of decades. I want to prove that doing socialistic practices and working together as a community can work. Please let someone know this app exists.

Update, 6/4/2021:

Miiriya was created by one person, and one person only, from the creation of the app, to all the social networks. Every time you receive a reply from our social networks, any update you see, any posts on social media you see, it’s all done by one person, (Lamine Loco(Loco is my real last name, it’s an African name from Benin, it’s not Spanish)) and one person only (Currently not financially stable enough yet to hire anyone or expand.) (Yes, I work very hard) (And yes, I am black. here is my Facebook page for anything you need to confirm with me) (Also, just to make it clear, by “one person runs this entire site, I mean in terms of creation and management of the app/website it only has one employee, I don’t mean I’m the one selling all these products by myself and that every store you see is owned by me, Miiriya is an app/website/platform that lets different black-owned businesses register and lets you shop from different Black-owned businesses and black vendors. Just felt I needed to make that clear for some reason after that above explanation.) (I talk too much I will stop here.)
