CASTOR OIL: This is an amazing healing plant, produced from the beans of the castor plants. It helps to soften the hair as well as promote its growth. It has humectant properties (binds to water molecules in the environment) that help lock in moisture. Castor oil is also perfect for scalp health as it helps relieve the scalp from itchiness and dryness. Castor oil is an amazing oil that treats dry hair, making it thicker, shinier, softer, and smoother.
FRACTIONATED COCONUT OIL: Fractionated means, that long-chain fatty acids (containing 14 carbons or more) have been removed. This can be beneficial, although some properties of the oil are lost, the oil still has amazing properties that coconut oil is known for such as promoting the growth of hair, strengthening the hair as well as anti-fungal and antimicrobial properties. We chose this oil as not only is it not solid at room temperature, but it is perfect to extract the properties of herbs in an infusion. it is also a perfect carrier for extracted nutrients at it readily penetrates the dermal layer and the hair shaft. The oil also has an indefinite shelf life, therefore it helps to prolong the shelf life of the oil infusion.
HIBISCUS: Hibiscus is known as an amazing herb in Ayurveda for hair growth and maintenance. This herb contains mucilage, which helps acts as a natural conditioner, perfect for detangling hair. Many studies have demonstrated that hibiscus is in fact beneficial for hair growth. This herb also contains amino acids, used by the hair follicles to produce keratin, which is essential for hair strength and growth.
ROSEMARY: This is an amazing herb for hair, not just for your chicken. Rosemary has been used by many people as it not only promotes hair regrowth by blocking the DHT hormone (which has been linked to hair loss).
