Single Black Father and Daughter Facing Eviction
Hello everyone, my name is Ian. I’m reaching out to our community with honesty and humility. I am a single father to a wonderful 5 year old daughter who recently started school for the first time. In order to be there for her each day, I had to switch to a job with hours that allow me to be present with her before and after school. While this was the best decision for her, it came with a significant pay cut that has made it very difficult to keep up financially.
I’ve been my daughter’s only consistent parent for nearly four years, and right now I’m struggling to make ends meet. Since September 2025, I have not been able to pay my rent, so I’m facing eviction. I’ve been working overtime, but it hasn’t been enough to catch up with rent, especially while also covering groceries, childcare, and other bills on my own.
I’m raising funds to help keep stable housing and provide a consistent life for my daughter. Any support would mean everything to us. Thank you for your kindness.
