I’m Kat, a 27 year old Afro Latina 🇩🇴 living in the sunny state of California. I started KM Resin Designs in June of 2020 as a way to cope with my depression and anxiety. At the time I had hit a pretty low point in my life after losing my job as a forester and needed a way to escape how I was feeling as well as stay afloat financially.
I had come across a few YouTube videos on resin art and mixed media paintings and felt this deep interest and excitement I had not felt in a while. I began by making alcohol ink art as that was the main art medium I was intrigued in and from there I branched out into creating small resin pieces which I sold on Etsy. With all the love and support I received I was able to temporarily make this hobby a full time job and create my own website.
