Kenfolk by Mahalia Mai is the product of a mother-daughter team who traded their love of mass-produced candles for hand-poured, small batches of quality. During the start of COVID-19 Ashley & Alta Cromwell decided to explore the art of candle making. They soon decided to create 100% coconut wax based candles and other home fragrance products after discovering their superior quality.
Armed with a passion for beautiful scents and quality products, Mahalia Mai invites you on a journey to deliver blends of enticement, comfort, and relaxation to your home. We stress the importance of using environmentally friendly products whenever we can, therefore, we have partnered with One Tree Planted to further our commitment to returning to the planet as much as we take.
Started in 2014, One Tree Planted’s mission is to make “it easier for individuals and businesses to give back to the environment, create a healthier climate, protect biodiversity and help reforestation efforts around the world. All by planting trees!”
Over the last 6 years, they have more than doubled the number of trees planted year over year. Fast-forward to today, they now work with awesome reforestation’s partners in North America, South America, Asia, and Africa who help them get trees in the ground to restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitat for biodiversity.
For each home fragrance product that you purchase from Mahalia Mai, a dollar will be contributed to One Tree Planted. One dollar contributes to the site prepping, planting, and maintenance of a tree in places where they are most needed.
