Go to your Shopify Dashboard. In the menu/sidebar go to settings.
Go to “App & Sales Channels.” Press “Develop Apps”, when you’re there click “create an app”, name it your own shop’s name, fill in all the details with your own personal info and save.
Click on “Configure Admin API Scopes” (do not choose “Storefront API”, make sure it’s “Admin API Scopes” you choose, on that page find, “Applications” (view or manage apps) and give Read permission.
In the search “Filter access scopes” area, type “product”, give Read permission to everything that shows up. then erase “product” from the search area.
In the search “Filter access scopes” area, type Location, give read permission to that.
Save the page.
Click on “API Credentials” at the top of the page. Get your API Access Token, copy it and save it to anywhere you store your important notes/anywhere you save important documents, even if it’s your notes app on your cellphone or google docs, you won’t be able to see that same API Access Token again in the future, so save it somewhere safe. (It’s okay if you lose it, you’ll just have to make a new API Access Token so don’t worry/get anxiety.)
The API Access Token starts with the letter “s”, if what you have starts with something else, it’s not the correct API Access Token, make sure you follow the above steps correctly. If it starts with a number that means you clicked something with “Storefront” API.
go back to the page you just came from and add the API Access Token to the area where it goes. Enter your shopify URL where it goes (the original version with the word myshopify in the link Example: iamyour.myshopify.com/ ) and save. (Not done yet see below steps)
Then go to the Settings tab, press Get Location so Shopify imports the location where your products are store/uploaded. The page will refresh and the location, or more than one location will come in if you have more than one. Choose the location that has all your products. Then press Import. There’s going to be a Loader for you to wait for. The loader should be active for more than 2 seconds as it imports. If it shows up then disappears quickly, press Import again. If the Loader is loading for a long time, that’s a good thing, don’t refresh, it’s working to upload your products, stay on the screen until it stops. Then check the product page to see that your products are there, if they aren’t just wait 10 minutes since it may be cached, and refresh the page and it should be there.
