From homeless to housed still needing essentials.
After a year of being unhoused my family finally found a shelter that would actually help us. After being in the shelter for a month and a half, we finally have our own apartment.
But the apartment was empty. We had no beds. No table. No kitchen items. We had blow-up beds to sleep on, but that was it.
since we have gotten into our apartment we have been able to acquire beds and small furniture items. We had been able to make small amount of money here and there to keep us afloat. We did side gigs using our car, but the fuel pump has went out. I was able to find employment, but I have not started my training yet. We could use help getting through the month of August with our light bill, other house hold essentials and a few bus passes to get around.
