Inspired by the Yoruba Goddess of the sea, “Yemaya” is her name. She protects and provides healing to her underwater kingdom –even as royalty. Alongside her is the wind & rain Goddess, “Oya” & they had a beautiful journey along the seas creating whirlpools & providing both nourishment + healing (the healing powers of water) to those in need (even land living people). They even exercised their gifts when no one necessarily “needed” it, bringing them joy –& at times, simply as a form of gratitude for the lives that they were gifted and the metaphysical powers they behold.
