The skin treatment oil can be used for multiple reasons: oily skin, acne, psoriasis, and eczema. The oil includes: grapeseed oil, sweet orange oil, frankincense oil, tea tree oil, and bergamot oil.
Grapeseed oil’s main ingredient, linolenic acid, is an organic compound that fights inflammation in the skin’s middle and outer layers. The oil can also increase circulation which could also decrease inflammation and the pain that may follow. Additionally, the fatty acids in grapeseed oil assist with wound healing, decreasing scarring, protection from the sun, and evening out skin tones. Sweet orange oil is known to promote the production of collagen as well as increase the blood flow to the skin. The oil has anti-microbial and anti-oxidant effects assist with controlling acne along with the sweet aroma known for reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Tea tree oil. We’ve all heard of this one before, right? Well, tea tree oil consists of antimicrobial compounds such as terpinen-4-ol, that have been shown to kill certain bacteria, viruses and fungi, preventing microbial growth. The famous oil is also and antiseptic and may promote wound healing, but be sure to consult with a physician prior to use.
Bergamot oil is beneficial for promoting clear skin. When applied to post-blemish marks, bergamot oil stimulates skin cell renewal, redistributing skin pigments for an even and toned complexion. Bergamot oil is extracted from the rinds of citrus fruit (Citrus bergamia) that grow on bergamot orange trees and contains anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.
Chamomile is more than just tea; the oil is known to possess anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects which is beneficial for osteoarthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome if applied three times a day. The aroma is also known to promote sleep due to its calming effects.
For best results, apply 5-10 drops to affected area after a warm shower/bath, two times a day.
